After spending a couple of years in Philadelphia, PA. I relocated back to Connecticut and began working at Catapult Learning as a School Social Worker. Within this role, I promote student development while providing short-term individual and group counseling, as well as classroom support.
Northern Children's Services
I began working at Northern Children's Services (NCS) in July of 2017. When I began I served as a Fee-For-Service Outpatient Clinician. In October of 2017, I also took on the role of the Early Intervention Drug and Alcohol Case Manager. This was a new program that my supervisor and I were chosen to pilot. In the winter of 2018, I was promoted to Intake Coordinator and served all three positions. In June of 2018, I was promoted to Clinical Coordinator upon obtaining my Social Work License.
Office of Information Technology
While completing my education at Western New England University I worked in the Office of Information Technology (OIT) for three years. At OIT I served as a service technician where I assisted customers with technical issues related to computer software, hardware, and network issues.
I served as a tutor in the Springfield Public School district during the spring semester of my freshman year at Western New England University. In addition to tutoring in the Springfield Public Schools and I also took part in reflection sessions with other tutors and experienced personnel. These reflection sessions provided me with support in dealing with any challenges that arose during my time within the classroom and also provided a setting for discussions around social justice issues relating to education.
